Admission to Harworth Church Of England Academy

Foundation Stage 2

Harworth Church of England Academy is part of the Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust.

Our Foundation Stage 2 class has an accommodation limit of 30 pupils, and admissions for the academic year in which children turn five are allocated according to the five priority criteria set out in our admissions policy. Each year group has a maximum intake of 30 pupils.

Applications should be submitted online via the Nottinghamshire County Council website:

If you need support or guidance with the application process, you can contact the School Admissions customer service team on:
📞 0300 500 80 80

A Supplementary Information Form (SIF) may be required when additional information is needed to apply the school’s admissions criteria accurately. This form can be downloaded below and returned via emailed to office@harworth.snmat.org.uk or can be sent directly to school.

Once applications are processed, Nottinghamshire County Council will inform parents of the school place offered. If you wish to appeal an admissions decision, please contact the school for further advice and guidance.

Admission Applications for All Year Groups

For all in‑year admission requests, the first step is to check whether there is available space in the relevant year group. Our Planned Admission Number (PAN) is 30, meaning that no more than 30 pupils can be admitted into any year group.

If a year group has space, parents can submit an application to the Nottinghamshire County Council Admissions Authority via:

If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, the school’s admissions criteria will be applied until the year group reaches its full capacity of 30.

When a child wishes to join the school mid‑year or enter a year group other than Foundation Stage 2, the first point of contact is usually Nottinghamshire County Council Admissions at:
📞 0300 500 80 80

Once the application has been processed, parents will be contacted by Admissions and/or the school to confirm whether a place is available.

Admission Applications for Pupils with SEND or Disabilities

Our school is fully inclusive and committed to ensuring that every pupil receives their full educational entitlement. When a child has special educational needs or disabilities, we may work with external agencies to help us prepare appropriately and ensure that all necessary support is in place. We take every step—both before and after admission—to make sure that all pupils experience a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment.
