Health and Safety Officers

At our school, we encourage children to take an active role in promoting health and safety around school.

Our officers:

  • Help keep classrooms and shared spaces tidy and free from hazards
  • Encourage safe walking and sensible movement around school
  • Check that chairs, resources and equipment are used safely
  • Notice and report any spills, breakages or potential dangers to an adult
  • Support good hygiene by reminding classmates about handwashing and tissue use
  • Look out for safe play outdoors and help ensure equipment is used properly
  • Act as positive role models by making safe, kind choices

This role helps children develop responsibility, teamwork and awareness of how to keep themselves and others safe.
